Valentines Day Bucket
After making all of my Valentine’s Day cards to give to my nieces and nephews I quickly saw a problem. I wasn’t going to have anything pretty enough to keep them in until the day arrived. But my Silhouette Cameo came to my rescue along with a bucket from the Dollar Tree! Here is how I made this super cute and easy Valentine’s Day Bucket.
Vinyl your choice of color I just used black and a silver piece
Silhouette Cutting Machine
Clear Transfer Tape
Start buy logging into the Silhouette Store and purchasing this heart shape, and the word love.
Then, change your settings to the size you need for what you are putting the vinyl on. You can see our dimensions in the picture above. Be sure you have your blade set on a 2 for cutting vinyl.
*Cut your vinyl about an inch larger than your actual image.
Vinyl speed 4 blade 3 on my machine (but it isn’t what is recommended) but I’ve found what works well for my projects, machine and myself.
Vinyl speed 2 is really what I prefer.
Line up using the arrows on the left and when you place paper in the machine, you should be able to see the top of the arrow on your mat.
Then press cut and let your Silhouette do the work for you! I had bought some vinyl that was sticky on the back so for mine I didn’t have to use transfer tape. But if you need a refresher on how to do that, check out my Plate making Tutorial.
