As a woman who has a daughter I look back at history and am proud of the progress we have made through the years. Women used to be homemakers that had countless children, were often uneducated, and answered to the “man” of the house. Thank goodness for women like Rosie the Riveter back in 1942 who changed the way society looked at women. Because of the World War II women had to step up and do things that were typically “mens” work. Which for me is the time that things started to shift for the better in several ways. But most importantly women were starting to be treated equal, were receiving a better education, and were starting to feel empowered by those changes.
As the world around us has changed so has the outlook on women, their education and of course where they were employed. Education is one of the most important things that everyone can get for free here in the United States but educating, empowering and enlightening girls needs to start at a young age. The more we teach our girls to believe in themselves the better off they will be because they will believe that they can do anything they put their mind too.
The 50’s are over and educating women is taking on a whole new meaning to our daughters. Join me in backing this kickstarter campaign, so that all women feel good about themselves. We will educate our daughters while challenging them to reach all new heights that even Rosie the Riveter would be proud of. With the use of education we will all be empowered as women to reach new heights while being modern day wives who feel like they can conquer the world.
