How Much is your Child’s Safety Worth? Priceless right?
How Much is your Child’s Safety Worth? I know you are thinking, to keep my child(ren) safe? It is priceless because they are all unique and can’t be replaced with another baby. My sister has lost a child when he was three and after that death, she has taken safety of her children to an extreme measure. Not that she wasn’t safe before, but she is just more safe now. She has a total of 5 children living, 6 months, 2 years, 4 years, 6 years, and a 13 year old, so she has her hands full to say the least. When it comes to her children’s safety she goes all out on car seats.
She has to have the youngest 4 in car seats when traveling and she always does her research before making a child safety device purchase. Each car seat she has purchased has been an investment into her children’s lives so she doesn’t skimp and save on the cost. You can skimp and save on lots of things but as far as car seats are considered she only purchases high quality.
When Willow the last baby came into the picture she had been doing lots of research on which car seats were the best for her families new addition. After checking the expiration dates on her other car seats she found out that the two year old’s car seat was about to expire so she got to work finding not just one but two car seats. She purchased the Britax Pinnacle 90 Car seat that retails for $369.99 for the 2 year old’s new seat. She was thrilled with their ClickTight technology, it will also hold the child until she reaches 90 pounds and can also be used in Booster mode. It even has side impact cushion technology so it was a must have in her opinion.
While Willow isn’t ready for a bigger car seat just yet, Holly (my sister) has her eye on Britax’s Frontier 90 that will begin shipping in May of 2013. This wonderful car seat retails for $329.99 which she considers a steal. It has the ClickTight technology system that takes the guess work out of buckling in a car seat. It will hold up to 90 pounds in front facing harnessed mode and 120 pounds in booster mode. This is a wonderful car seat made by Britax and one that will be well worth the investment.
So before you rush out and make a purchase on any car seat Holly recommends the following steps.
- Your child’s life is priceless, so invest the money into a great product.
- Check your owner’s manuals to see if the car seat you are purchasing will work in your vehicle.
- Make sure it will grow with your child.
- Make Safety your first priority, budget second.
- Make sure you properly install the car seat to help protect your child(ren).
- Buy a car seat for each vehicle your family owns. We always buy 2 of each seat so we don’t have to move them from vehicle to vehicle.
